Crashed -- Audio files missing
Today, Sonar crashed after upgrading from February's version of Platinum to the current version.
In the past, if it's crashed while we were recording, I could find the audio files we recorded in the Audio\ subdirectory of the project and put them back in. After today's crash, there were no (new) audio files in the Audio\ directory. Entertaining the idea that perhaps the newer version saves them temporarily elsewhere, I searched my whole system for any .wav files created today and found nothing anywhere. The timestamp on that Audio\ directory was shortly before Sonar crashed, so it seems pretty certain they were there at some point anyway.
So I have two questions here:
1.) Why did the audio files get deleted upon crashing? This is new behavior, at least for me. Previously, though the unsaved project file would of course lose all changes, all the "Audio\Trackname, Rec (123).wav" generated would still be there.
2.) In the event that I need to downgrade to the February version for a while, is there a way to do that? Or is there only a binary choice between going all the way back to X3 and whatever the absolute newest version of Platinum with no degrees in between?
Incidentally, it seems that one thing that's been lost in going to an auto-updater is the ability to have different concurrent major versions of Sonar installed, post-Platinum.
