Help with guitar tracks pro 4

Trying to use this for the first time in years and it's confusing me.
 I start it up, go to new project, and name it. When I press the add tracks button, it just opens the "new project" tab. What am I doing wrong?
 It is registered and updated. I am using win 7 pro 64 bit. I have tried running as admin.

    I don't use this product, but I have noticed that there is an update for it. Maybe this might help?
