MIDI Controller

Hi folks....does Cakewalk have a good (inexpensive) midi controller to use with platinum.

I have the keys and pads part locked in already. Looking for something on the sliders, knobs, transport controller part, like a Nektar P1, but it is designed with Sonar in mind, and not high priced. $200 or less?

I don't own this one but it is designed to work with Sonar - cakewalk used to be owned by Roland and these were integrated at that time.

I have a P6, which is basically the P1 plus 61 keys. It works well, but not perfectly, with SONAR. I like mine a lot.

You'll definitely want to get up to speed with AZSlow's MIDI controller plugin for SONAR. It's essential, in my opinion. It will take a little time and effort to get everything set up the way you want, but you'll find good and quick help both here and on his forum.

Many thanks for your responses!  Apparently I was not looking for the right term in good ol' Google.  I searched MIDI Control Surfaces and BOOM.....there they are.

Just placed an order for a Korg nanoKontrol Studio.  Cost is $150 from Amazon. 1 day shipping free with Prime.

Has faders / knobs / xport controls / and Bluetooth.....(hmmmm).  I am a home studio with a Korg Triton Extreme and Roland SPD-S....so the keys and pads side of things are covered.

This product is not designed specifically for Sonar, but the documentation does discuss Sonar Specific detail, so I hope that's a step in the right direction.

I'll report back on my success or failure if ya want.

    Cheers, RZ
