The old LP 64 EQ fxb is installed in the same path as the dll. The default 64bit path is "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Linear EQ"

The new LP EQ presets are stored in "C:\Users\Public\Public documents\Cakewalk\LP EQ\Presets"

Do you really need presets for EQ? I suppose if you have the same need why not create your own?

I don't know how your recordings can be heard by "pros" for your setup even before the recording is made. There are certain frequencies you might want to get rid of but I don't see how a preset even made by the most astute pro can be used on any unheard recording. Also its yours what if his taste is very different from yours?

I wonder what would have happened if Hendrix had used Les Paul's sound?

If you learn the principles of eq you wont need a preset.

I know the principles of eq, but I still enjoy a good preset now and again.  Nice starting off point.

I have to agree. I have gotten good results (or at least what I consider good results, which may or may not be the same thing) with the LP 64, specifically with the "Subtle Analog Warmth" setting. It seems to work well for what I do.

But I also have to agree that really knowing EQ is what we should all strive for. However, I suspect many of us are quite befuddled by it.

Are you referring to the new LP 64 eq or the old one. I have presets under the "Presets" menu in both versions. In the new version the presets are just above the EQ graph window. You have to double click on "Mastering" to see the presets. In the old version they are in the expected location in the menu at the top left of the window.

Sonar Platinum 2017.7, 64-bit, Studio one Pro 3.5.1, Sweetwater Creation Station (cs400v.3), Win10 Home 64 bit, 3.4GHz  i7-4770, 16GB, 2x 1TB Internal, 1TB external, Focusrite Saffire Pro 26, M-Audio Oxygen 25 Midi Controller, JBL LSR305, KRK KNS 8400, Shure SRH440.
