    Hi,

Nice ... and sad .. at the same time.

I could not help thinking something like ... how long did the piano stay in tune, because that cold and humidity will likely ruin the tunings within minutes.

Imagine that when you are listening to music from 500 years ago ... when the instruments were even more fragile than they are today!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

It was a really beautiful piece of work. I agree that it's also very sad. Once that ice is gone the world is FUBAR.

Well, not really, and yes.  If the world heats up enough for all that ice to melt, it will probably be warm enough for the exchange between the artic and other oceans to stop (when I first read about this, it needed to be about ten degrees warmer, I think it's down to between six and eight now).  Once that happens you'll end up with far more ice than you need since it will be the start of another ice age.

That's exactly where I was going to go. Iceland, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, anyplace that counts on the current Atlantic flow patterns for their temperate weather...are screwed (I wouldn't want to be below sea level in the Netherlands; nope). Check out the half-a$$ed disaster flick "The Day After Tomorrow", which postulated exactly this occurrence back in 2004. Yeah, I know Roland Emmerich is O-fer after Independence Day (I hear the sequel is awful), but the script makes its environmental point effectively.
