Never Grow Up

finally, after seven months and a bitter breakup over funding, the clip is out but the band is defunct and the song was never released.
it was tracked live and it just shows what a well known, expensive engineer,(Jack the Bear) can achieve with what`s given them.

    Hey, Tony,

Cool song, great band and fantastic work on the video!

Too bad they split up, they sort of remind me a of a hybrid of early Blink 182 and Bowling For Soup, really good stuff!

    Best Wishes,
    Bob

Thanks Bob,they are obvious fans of the Maddern brothers but the Aussie accent helps a bit.

Mix works well here too Tony.  Shame the band went south.  Thanks for sharing, have you got some plans for the future, new band?

thanks Wook-it`s certainly a different beast to my mix but that`s what the pro`s are for.
am flattered to think you may think I am in the band but I`m 61 and I posted because I recorded it and it shows brief glimpses of my studio.
I have been recording this singer for about 7 years,in as many lineups-he`s like a perennial bloom.
come to think of it,the same faces keep turning up in different bands-I guess that`s why they call it a "local scene".
my band(a 3 piece with a combined age of 170 years)is going strong after 18 years and as we age we`ve developed a taste for funk which has kept the interest up.we have around 30 songs recorded but can`t  agree on which to release.
at this stage in our lives we are over the fortune and fame aspect and to drop a few k on mastering and production so we can give them away to friends is not worth it-been there.the weekly rehearsals and camaraderie are what keeps us going.
    cheers

Honestly: not my type of guitar music but it is deffinitely well done. Nicely put together video and the audio sounds good.
Whoever has done the mixing knows a little bit about it... well, at least more than I do
    Good job!

Very professional all round, the audio sounds fantastic. The band are/were excellent, but perhaps a little too derivative.

thanks mate-my mix was dirtier and rawer,as usual,-it was remixed by xxxxx and mastered by JacktheBear.com.au.

the difference between my mix and master and the end result is chalk and cheese and if you can afford it have one of your songs professionally done-I can get a reasonable mix from Sonar etc but the mastering is really where the magic is done and you can compare your work backwards from the pro mix to see where you can improve.
