Love it! In the best euro-pop tradition, you've taken a hallowed standard and modernized it into a sugary confection. Very nice mix and everything works well together. Great job!

Just shows the danger of listening on cans, played this this morning and to be honest I thought it sounds just like musac, elevator/shopping mall crap.  But I thought to be fair one should listen on the Monitors so after a little trip to the vet with our Trudy and some retail therapy for Ms Wookiee I came back and listened again.

The mix comes across well, the vocals are well done and you have definitely put a Euro pop twist to it.  Good job thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much, im very glad you gave it a second chance. :)
Really happy and suprised about the comments on the mix. Soundcloud really squashed the sound on this one.

I always try to take into account that we are not hearing the best of it because it is probably an MP3.

Really like this, Alvin has a great voice.  Only production thing I might change is add a third harmony on *there will be an answer* the first time around.  I think it'd be pretty easy to do with melodyne and it'd kind of set it apart from other sections of the song. There are a couple other points where adding a third vocal harmony might be effective where I think you are just doing octaves or fifths.  The temptation is to keep adding and adding until by the end you have a *we are the world* chorus haha.  I like how you kept it sort of sparse ala soft cell or another synth pop band.  In the eighties you'd be a gazillionaire!

There was a band (or still is, I don't know) called Alphaville. Your version reminds me of this bands music.

Hehe yep, thats me in a nutshell. Everything i do always end up sounding very 80s synthpop.
From time to time i try to sound more modern, but fail miserably. ;)
    Thanks for listening. :)

I agree with the comments above - really cool take on a classic.   It works well and the mix is very clean.   Vocals sound great.

The music arrangement reminds me a bit of Kakku, another poster here.
