Setting up breath controller in Sonar

I recently bought a tecontrol breath and bite controller and it's been sitting on the shelf for a bit while I've been working on another project. Now I'm ready to tackle some overdue orchestral stuff and was wondering if anyone here has one of these and what the best way to set it up would be? I've tried looking for some setup videos online but nothing has really come up so I figured this would be the best place to ask.
 
Installation was easy enough. Now I'm trying to use it with some plugins and I'm not sure if there is an easier way than to manually change each value individually in each plugin or if this is going to be a time consuming process. Plus, there will be times (and patches) I might not want to use the breath controller such as some patches in Omnisphere. Will I have to constantly change the midi inputs for certain values or is there a better way to go about doing that as well?
