Rest in Peace "Scotty Moore"!

I can't believe nobody has said nothing about his passing here.

Scotty Moore was a great guitarist that any guitarist should know his name.

Just thought I would mention this for guitar enthusiast around the world because if you wanna learn how rock'n'roll guitar was made then you start out listening to Scotty Moore tunes, some of which you may not even realize he was the guitarist playing the music.

A real legend, he played the guitar on "Mystery Train" for Elvis Presley along with many other Elvis songs.

Just thought I would mention this for those who may not know.

Very sad, and I must say I never had the pleasure of meeting the man or Icon I should say. But I am thankful for having the pleasure of hearing his guitar music over the many years of my life.

I can't believe that it's not being mentioned hardly anywhere, not TV entertainment shows, not Bing/Google search engine highlights.

Scotty Moore was one of the greatest most influence guitarist in all of our lifetimes.

Rest in Peace Mr. Scotty Moore.

Nothing but respect for this legend of a guitarist.

Thanks, but he made NO MENTION OF SCOTTY MOORE in the title of his thread at all. Only his own personal feelings where the title goes, so NOBODY probably didn't notice it except his friends.

Being SMUG and acting as though your a KNOW IT ALL is not cool either way. Especially trying to point it out as an attack toward another who was just trying to let others know about the passing of a great legend.

Either way, trying to make me look stupid with a LINK and SMUG response for just trying to be helpful Tells me all I need to know about you.

Bobby, calm down old bean.

The thread title James linked to clearly mentions the name of the deceased:

I'm hoping this isn't true, but... RIP Scotty Moore

"I can't believe nobody has said nothing about his passing here. "

I can't make up my mind about this... A double negative (or is that a triple negative?) would mean that somebody DID say something, as was indeed the case. But I believe that it isn't what was meant.

Serious_Noize!

Thanks, but he made NO MENTION OF SCOTTY MOORE in the title of his thread at all.

As pointed out, the title was "I'm hoping this isn't true, but... RIP Scotty Moore"

Here we go with the double negative again. Nobody didn't notice not excepted not you.

More seriously, I'm hoping that "my friends" are not the only persons who can be bothered to actually read more than the first 5 or 6 words of a thread title, especially when the capital letters RIP are part of that title.

James didn't have to try - you pretty much did all of the heavy lifting. His response was straight and to the point. A mistake is pretty innocuous thing, unless one decides to argue instead of simply acknowledging their mistake.

A simple "my bad" goes a long way in helping one not look stupid.

Whatever............. And no, you made no mention of Scotty Moores passing in your main title thread, probably edited it by now. But All I did was say "I can't believe nobody has mentioned this" because if they would have mentioned it the main Title of any thread I would have seen it, just something like "Oh please say it isn't so".... I mean how does that say to me "Scotty Moore has passed", it could mean anything.

Instead I have someone come into the thread I created simply commenting on it "BEING SARCASTIC".

So whatever.........

So you started a thread that had already been covered. Who cares? Say, "I didn't see that it had already been posted", and be done with it. Uh, No I'm not.
First off, like I said "RAIN NEVER MENTIONED SCOTTY MOORES PASSING IN THE HEADLINE OF HIS THREAD", He mentioned it in the thread he started COME TO FIND OUT LATER, but not in the threads TITLE, his HEADLINE WAS "PLEASE SAY IT ISN"T SO" or something like that NO MENTION OF SCOTTY MOORE, and you know what : That could mean many many things. Then James#### comes along being SARCASTIC towards me for simply saying "I can't believe nobody has mentioned Scotty Moores Passing here", and by that I mean "NO HEADLINE MENTIONED THREADS".

And NO RAIN NEVER DID MENTION SCOTTY MOORE IN THE TITLE OF HIS THREAD UNLESS HE'S CHANGED IT.

Whatever the case, the fact that someone "CALLED ME OUT SAYING IT WAS MENTIONED IN A SARCASTIC MANOR WHEN IT WAS NOT".
You know, I can't read ALL OF THE THREADS HERE, It's the TITLE OF THE THREAD that defines what the subject is about, at least last time I checked.

I have no problem with anyone here, but I don't like someone being SARCASTIC towards me.

Before you speak of someone else's reply you need to at least get ALL YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT, I bet the Title of his thread has changed by now, which probably wont show up as EDITED since the thread wasn't. Whatever the case I could care less either way, I've made my point, Sarcastic Self Righteous people hang around here, so I won't be coming to these forums anymore. You are all a GREAT HELP to these forums, NOT!!!!!
And I bet I am the SUBJECT of someones comedy afterwards.

So more or less this forum is a SETUP to throw off on others and abuse them. I hope Cakewalk removes this Coffehouse because of the PERSONAL ATTACKS being thrown around.

As I said once before "WHATEVER" it's the people trying to be SARCASTIC towards me that I am replying to.

So WHATEVER........

I tried to be nice and mention someone's passing and get treated SARCASTICALLY LIKE DIRT.
So whatever. I'll make it a point on my weekly blog to mention how this forum treats people.

Everyone else SAW the original thread title. The forum software registered it and shows no edit. The moderators could testify that it was NOT edited to it before they lock this stupid, useless thread.

You've pretty much painted yourself into the corner. Why you insist is beyond me. What's next? Blame it on the Obama administration or aliens?

I think there can be little doubt now that the man has passed away.  I am going to go ahead and lock this one down.

I too have posted a thread here some time ago, and had not realized someone else had posted about it earlier, and someone informed me, and I learned from it.  The important part to me for that thread I had posted was to share the information.  I focused on that, and was happy that someone else had shared the information (also about someone passing, I believe), and my lesson was to do a Google search first, before posting that sort of thing, to avoid an unnecessary extra thread about it.
