sonar not seeing melodyne studio

A while ago, sonar added melodyne in a basic version. At about the same time, I purchased melodyne studio from melodyne directly, and i cannot open melodyne studio directly into sonar. using the Region FX tab. it seems to be sending me to the old version, which trial period has ended.

I'm guessing there is a folder I should move my melodyne studio to so that sonar can see it, or is there another process?

thanks in advance.

There is only one Melodyne 4 binary. The license determines which feature set is available. SONAR uses the VST3 for Region FX. Maybe somehow part of Melodyne 2 is still on the machine. The upgrade instructions for Melodyne 4 included uninstalling Melodyne 2.

Or is this the old Melodyne 3 Studio? If so, there is no VST3 implementation of that version. I believe it is also only 32bit.

Hi. Did you install the Vst3 version? That is needed for Region Fx. It installs by default to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
    All the best.

Region FX uses the VST3 format plug-in and the VST3 32bit version of Melodyne 4 Studio will only be usable in 32bit SONAR.
