Pro Tools 12.5.2 Update

Avid, the makers of Pro Tools, have announced the release of Pro Tools 12.5.2, an update for Pro Tools 12 very quickly after the release of Pro Tools 12.5.1. 

What Is In Pro Tools 12.5.2?

Pro Tools 12.5.2 is a support release for the Pro Tools S6 Master Post Module, which brings advanced track and stem arming workflows to the S6 control surface.

  • 10.11-10.11.3 (El Capitan)
  • 10.10.3-10.10.5 (Yosemite)

  • Windows 10 64-bit
  • Windows 8.1 64-bit
  • Windows 7 64-bit

Mac OS X 10.11.4 and 10.11.5 are not qualified and not recommended for use with Pro Tools software due to the following known issues:

• CPU performance peaks randomly on lower buffer sizes (AAE error -6101) with non-HD devices
• CPU performance degradation with lower buffer sizes (AAE error -9171) with HDX
• Pro Tools 12.5 Installer takes several minutes to start up
