Hi My Name is Leon and this is my very first time in the forum so Please forgive any type of mistakes i may make.
Can someone explain in simple terms how I can set up a second Video Monitor so that I may look at tracks and console at same time.  I have Platinum and am using a dell laptop "much Power"  Thanks

Most modern laptops have a video connection port, depending on the model and age of your laptop it could be a VGA or an HDMI port (preferable). If you connect this port to your monitor, you then can use the Windows Control Panel Display options to configure your 2nd display. If you "extend" the desktop, it will create a 2nd workspace (wallpaper) and then when you open Sonar, you can use the 2nd screen for anything. A lot of folks will undock console view and display the console, others will "pin" their Virtual instruments and other plug ins and group them on the 2nd screen for continued and easy access.
I'm sure others in this forum will also have their suggestions, and perhaps even better directions for how to make this work, as I use my dual setup with a desktop/tower computer and two separate monitors--but it shouldn't be any different if your monitor has the appropriate video connector built into it.
    Good luck.

Post the Dell model and we can look up what type of connection your laptop has.
