RIP to an old friend. Dwain Freeman, artist. Taos, NM

He took me in when I hitched to Colorado. When I burned out and ran out of everything. He was a good guy. He was carving faces from old logs back then, circa 1971/72. Time flies... way too quickly.

    A toast to all the common heroes who have made a difference at accidental crossings of paths.
    (I couldn't find a wording that'd satisfy me - you know what I mean, I hope).

    There were a few good people along my way, too. I don't think they ever realised that they left a mark in my life.
