Transport issue

Hi - I have just switched to Sonar from using the old TASCAM 2488 Neos.  I was able to transfer the Wave files of my projects and have 1 loaded into Sonar.  That project seems to be fine.  I have opened a new project and was getting the hang of live recording and using the plug ins.  That was going fine.  I closed the program and was away for 2 days.  Last night I reopened the program I was recording live guitar tracks - and the transport controls were unresponsive and the time meter was not moving during recording or playback.  On playback the time counter jumped a couple of times.  The recorded signal was there - but was also subject to odd glitches - pops - and a sound I can't describe.  Any hints on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, and welcome to this forum. I sounds like latency issues. What kind of audio interface do you have, and which driver mode do you use? To check driver mode, open SONAR and go to Preferences (P), Audio, Playback and Recording. Driver latency can be checked in Preferences (P), Audio, Driver Settings.
The more you tell about your specs, the easier it is to give an answer.
All the best.

A- stating it in your first post

I just updated my signature ... hopefully I did it right and it shows.

I've got transport issues and questions ... thanks in advance.  When loading a project, the transport does not return to the location where I saved it.  And, after being in the project for awhile, the commands will not work ... example would be using the "D" command to switch to Track View if I'm in the Console View.

That all being said ... can anybody who is using SONAR Platinum with a Roland Studio Capture please inform me as to what the driver settings should be to eliminate this problem.

Until I hear back ... Time to work on the new pedal board ... I've got to tie-up some loose ends!

Oh ... by-the-way, I'm current on all of my SONAR updates.

Here's a Youtube link illustrating what my problem was;

So, I'd suggest to anybody who may have encountered this problem to simply "X" out of all of your Plugins prior to exiting your project(s) ... love this forum for such great information ... it's about time I contribute too.
