A couple of blasts from the 4th

My friend Clay lighting a mortar.

And... another mortar.  I'm going to miss these next year.

This year , it was kinda lite over by me ......
FWIW, I'm  OK for people having some fun on the 4 th ...Yet , in direct contrast as a pet owner I can't wait for things to get back to normal ....

Anyway , I guess it's "no more of that type of Kaboom " in our Geo location come next year ....
After watching your vids , I say to myself Damn I could of bought a pack of new guitar strings for every mortar that got light up

No kidding!  The big ones were $2 a pop IF you negotiated a discount (my friend bought a 24-pack for $49).  I wasn't about to waste money on them, but I didn't have to.  It seemed like everyone else had bought a bunch.  The guy down my friend's street (near McGillivray and 136th in Vancouver) had 40(!) tubes mounted on a large board and came out SIX times to light them all off at once!  So that's a minimum of $500 bones right there...
