Tutorial on depth
I made a quick video on how move things backwards in a mix. I know this is a topic a lot of people have had problems with, including myself. I'm still trying to polish this technique, but I feel like this is going in the right direction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EgU0BrVjTE

Nice job. that panagement plugin seems to work very nicely. I use Waves Center myself. The sound spectrum is such a tricky thing. it will play games with your ears. it is so important to monitor mono as well as stereo. a lot of people don't take that serious enough. good vid man

This is a very interesting video and I bought the plugin immediately. I think it is excellent and it seems to do more than just your standard reverb alone is capable of. This definitely makes it easier to place sounds more precisely and front to back. It is good for taking dry mono sources and putting them in a much better and more real space too. That Wikipedia article is also worth a read as he suggests. I am using it with Liquid Sonics Reverberate V2. That also sounds great especially with small spaces. The extra free IR responses plus the Bricasti responses are very excellent indeed. Panagement gives you much more control over how your reverb sounds to me anyway and where things to seem to sit. As with all reverbs be tasteful in how much you use and the realism really is quite striking.

chuckebaby - Thanks. It can be trick to manage everything and not have your mix turn to mush. One of the good things about panagment is that it allows you to monitor in mono from the plugin. Sometimes when you start messing with the stereo image you can make something sound great in stereo, but terrible in mono. It is nice to have something right there to remind you. Jeff - I'm happy to see developers making different types of plugins, besides the standard EQs, compressors, etc. Of course those are great, but I'm happy a company tried something a little different. I haven't used Reverberate V2, but I heard its great. Doesn't it use some new tech that allows it to morph through IRs for a more natural sound that has movement? Maybe I should pick it up. Thanks for watching.

I just used Panagement for the first time. Really cool when used with a verb. Much easier to control "distance". Thanks!

Glad it helped. I hope the developer eventually adds a reverb to it. He mentioned adding early reflections to it a few weeks ago, so I hope they follow through.
