Finding the length of a selection

I know I can see the length of a CLIP in the clip properties of the inspector.
 
Is there anywhere I can see the length (in samples, etc.) of an arbitrary selection? For example I want to be able to highlight the distance between a snare hit on overheads by selecting from the start of the hit on one side up to the start on the other, and then have something tell me the length of that selection.
