Thanks everyone, the thing about Face shields, what I am talking about is, and I should have defined it better, sorry my bad. I think if someone is going to protest then they should be required to not cover their face, if a person is working a job or doing anything in person then they should be required to show their face.
What I am getting at, is, Imagine a world where your pizza delivery person shows up and have a face shield on and get's there quickly, faster than usual, I mean what would you think if you ordered a Pizza to be delivered and someone with ta FACE SHIELD "Maybe forgot they were wearing it or whatever" at your doorstep?
There's not place for anything to "HIDE WHO YOU ARE IN SOCIETY" where you face goes. Some talk about tatooo's and such things making fun, that's all good and well, but what I have been talking about is : "How would you like everyone you deal with daily hiding who they are? I don't think you'd like that very much".
What about tinted vehicle windows? It's kinda the same thing.
That's what I am asking when I say :"What is your opinion of Face Shields"?
Hi, I see face concealment, in small part, as an extension of the anonymity people have come to enjoy on the internet and, to a larger extent, a continuation of the erosion of personal responsibility and accountability that has been happening for several decades. To coexist harmoniously in society, the participants have to both honor each others' rights AND fulfill their responsibilities. Rights and responsibilities go hand in hand. Well, they should. Unfortunately, the last few generations have become increasingly focused and their rights while shunning their responsibilities. There is no longer a mutual social contract that is honored by a significant majority. I'm sorry. What was the question again?

Not really funny when people from other countries call themselves your friend and throw off of you trying to be comical when you are trying to make a point that matter around your home where you live. Kinda lets you know there are no internet friends I guess.
For my part in this, I apologize. Here in the CH there is very little that gets serious treatment. Please don't take personally. If nothing else, we're all treated with equal disrespect here.

Unless you know something we don't I wouldn't take it personally. Perhaps just take the jokes at face value and not as some personal indictment. Remember, you can't get too serious as there are drummers and bass players that post in here. (ducks and runs)

I wonder what a aethist blind person would make of this topic, we have people in the christian based western world arguing that people should not cover their faces, and islamic eastern world people saying that women at least should be covering their faces, in fact the whole clothing and fashion type arguments must seem very weird to them?
Its just a thought, to put a differnet perspective on things, sort of makes it all a bit silly really

Pretty normal in Vietnamese society here to wear a mask.
I don't think it's acceptable of for surveillance of society to rise the way it is in the UK.

No, you don't have any right to know what anyone looks like. You have no inherent, universal right to see people's bodies by any stretch of the imagination. They have every right not to reveal themselves to society, if they can successfully adorn themselves with material to do so.
There is no "attack" by hiding your identity while protesting or otherwise. And, I would advocate that it would actually help with communication and honesty. Perhaps people will be more willing to share how they truly believe and think being more comfortable in cloaking their identity.
I don't see the problem at all. Just like right to privacy isn't just about hiding your bong - it's also about hiding perfectly legal things that you don't want others to see...like naked pics of your mom. Stuff like that...
What? You guys don't have naked pics of your moms???
