Instrument Definition

Hi, I need help desperately. I have all the info to write the ID for a Korg Kross. I tried typing every sound, patch etc and can't get it to work. I don't know how to paste and copy and all the other short cuts. I'm willing to pay someone to write the file so my Kross reacts properly to the many MIDI songs that I created on another Keyboard and the ones I got off the Web. It really is messing up what I'm trying to accomplish. Please someone help me.....I will be forever grateful! Just tell me how much as long as it's reasonable. Thanks Bob

What do you use this for? live performance?

I have a Korg 05/RW and yes it's (better?) sounds are not in GM mode. Have you tried your in GM mode?  Myself I just look at the Korg patch/ instrument list and add that PG at the start of the midi sequence..but wait, that was with other software... I'm not sure how you add a PG tag to Sonar , never had to do it because I use nothing but soft synths for last 12 years.

And I too use downloaded midi files as well as my own so I use the TTS-1 to start with as that will play them correctly. I only keep the Korg patched in so I can listen to my old sequences.  I then replace parts with better sounds found in Sonar.

    Try this?
    http://www.synthify.com/K...dev/index.html#PCG2INS

Seems like the Kross and Krome use the same PCG format - in which case this may work. (Don't own either, just had a few minutes to kill waiting for a phone call and thought I'd do some searching)
