    Hi,

Though this is more rock suited, compare this to Egberto Gismonti in his early days, on his own built 8 and 10 string guitars. He kinda did the same thing acoustically, and in many circles it is considered "jazz" because there is no description of what it would be.
It is really nice to listen to, though!

    Danca das Cabecas
    Sol do Meio Dia
    Solo
    Magico (with Charlile Haden)
    Folk Songs (with Charlie Haden)

Have fun listening! It is good, but it would be better in a group so the thing would have more purpose and definition, than just an experiment.

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Hey Pedro! What we like to do here in the Coffee House is to add links to what we want others to check out.

    For example:

    Hi Mesh ,

That  sure is a great video of Charlie Hunter .  I'm more than halfway through watching it as I type this .

As far as I can tell so far from watching the video ,  Charlie Hunter has nothing to fear once I start posting some of my 8 string guitar playing .

Getting an extended range guitar has been a long held dream of mine  .
Buying the 8 string has been one of the best things I have done in a long time for my personal musical growth .
The transition over to 8 has been very smooth so far . I'm genuinely pleased with the new influx of energy I feel towards playing the guitar and I can hardly keep up with the flood of all the new ideas that are constantly showing up in my playing .

I certainly do appreciate the kind thoughts you have directed my way . I feel very grateful that you are interested in how it is coming along for me with my 8 string playing .

I need to go OT for a moment , It is my desire to post some new videos and music featuring my 8 string playing .
For that to happen , I may have to put QuickTime back on my Windows computer  ...
A few months ago I had uninstalled Q T because of the strong warnings of it no longer being supported in Windows anymore

Removing Q T  really messed up my video editing software ... the Zoom Q3 which I use to make videos only does Mov files ...anyone have a suggestion ?

    all the best,

    Kenny

I don't know Kenny... I think he's got some great low-end rhythms, but his melodies and leads lack a little because of it.  Although I'm sure it's great fun for one person to play both parts, I still think sharing the roles with someone else is best (even if both are playing extended instruments - like the video of Charly and the bassist from Adagio).

Either that or maybe try to grow a few more fingers!

    Craig ,
Sure,  I hear you and what your saying , The thing is he has his own thing going on and I'm OK with that ...
It can also be said , That type of thing just may not be for every one ....
As far as Guitar playing goes , His is certainly is trailblazing in his own right

You know it is somewhat funny , I nicked a couple of his loops from the loop loft Sound Cloud ...
I was able to play along with him ..but not at full speed ....
Oh well , I guess it's progress not perfection

Hey what's that pic you posted ?

Are those The Palm A Rinsky Triples ?  I'm currently dating their cousin The De Palma's

    all the best,

    Kenny
