Going Across the Moor
Its a lovely day here in Devon, later I will be driving down to Tavistock to see Mostly Autumn so I will leave early and drive across Dartmoor rather than taking the main roads. Might even stop off for a cream tea. Who knows I might even see the escaped lynx.

Sounds good to me Glyn, enjoy it! Horrible day here, grey and drizzly.

Yeah ... a little rain in July ... what's Portland coming to, now?
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Maybe it's the English in my background, but I kind of like that weather (of course I don't mean ALL the time).

Oh yeah, it's very melancholy and romantic and all that stuff Craig...unless you have to go outside every day and earn a living in it.

As noted, I'm not so good at earning a living at the moment. But, when I do, I'll be sure to pay someone else to go outside and take care of things for me.

My rates are quite reasonable. I do charge travel 'to and from' though.

Ironically, the weather out here in the Pacific Northwest is very similar to yours (actually one of the main reasons I like it here!).

Klamath Falls Oregon has one of the worst midge problems anywhere, but it's 300 miles south of here and easily avoided.

I see, yes. That's like avoiding the midgies here by...being in England...

Are Midges like Mosquito's? There's places in Canada where Mosquito's are the national bird.

Great drive, took a less travelled route up the eastern edge which had some great vistas. Went through Widdicombe then on to Princetown. I really must get up there more often.
Boy was the venue hot! I felt for the band under the lights. They were superb as usual. Olivia was looking and singing like an angle, Bryan's contrasting gruff vocals and gilmoresque guitar setting it off.
I had forgotten how good a drummer Alex Cromarty is.

Well there were midges as we strolled along the banks of the Tavy waiting for the venue to open, but not the carnivorous Scottish type. I remember holidaying at Kyle of Loch Aish and it wasn't safe to venture outside in the evening, had to watch the sunset over Skye from the B&B window.
