Current update 22.7.0.42 forces install onto C drive- WHY?

First, to save the inevitable "did you check path" question:  I NEVER use CC, I manually install all Sonar, DP, Rapture, …. program "stuff" so this is not a CC or CC path issue.
 
The current version of the Sonar Platinum 22.7.0.42 install no longer gives any choice of where to install the application itself, that option is completely missing, skipped, or changed and now and forces install into:
 
C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Sonar Platinum  or
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Sonar Platinum  or
 
I currently have everything installed on  D Drive! 
 
I will have to skip this update until I find out if this is an error for this release? or a simple oversight to be fixed SOON?  or actually no longer allowing where user to install?
 
I hope I'm (we're) not being forced from here on out to install on C - that would KILL my use of  updates and make my lifetime updates moot already!
 
 (Please save your breath don’t ask "why would you put Sonar on your D drive" -  not what I'm posting about-  and not your computer configuration to maintain anyway)
