Could you patch the output to an input on a separate audio interface and get Camtasia to use that as a source?
I don't have a separate interface but the AES16/Aurora 8 appear to support multiplexing (if that's the right word) - any combination of bit depths and sample rates on every channel. So, I tried a D/A to A/D loopback and was surprised it didn't work. Camtasia stopped (or crashed, depending on its settings). Admittedly, I don't know all the ins and outs of the Lynx, or ASIO, for that matter - never really had to. I should probably do some research.

Voicemeeter can handle multiple Bit Depth/Samplerates from/to different programs. Not sure if it can handle 96khz but I'm pretty sure it can.
I've seen this recommended a lot. It looks incredible, especially given the "price." Admittedly, my workstation is my baby and Voicemeeter sorta scares me - 'fraid I'll break something - even after watching all the videos on YouTube. But I haven't seen yours yet. I'll check it out for sure. Thanks!
Oh, and yes, Camtasia is stupid expensive for what it does. I'm open to alternatives. But so far, Camtasia was the only one -
I've demo'd three now - that would work at all with my setup.

There's been good advice already, but I have an interesting twist on doing videos and audio that will be the "Friday's Tip of the Week" for tomorrow. Stay tuned. It's a technique that has made my video life a whole lot simpler/easier.
Oh, you're such a tease! :-D
Can't wait.
Thank you, everyone! Lots to digest here.
