Sonar Platinum - poor FX bin ergonomics and visibility

I've downloaded the demo of Platinum to see what it looks like. Mercury theme, to keep it like my Studio X3.   First thing I noticed on the track pane was the color and format change of the FX bin plugins.  They are black on grey, and the on/off toggle icon is NOT visible when your cursor arrow leaves the FX plugin button. So, you can't tell if the plugins are active or bypassed unless you hover over them !  And then they only change from thin black icon to thicker black icon.  What......?
Is this a mistake on my part or on the demo?  This is totally going backwards. In Studio X3 the FX background is a dull grey with a nice light blue text on the FX plugin button, then with a separate icon in a light blue = on, dark grey = off.
These visuals are important to me, especially if I can't tell if the plugin is on or not.  Do you pro / platinum users see the same thing?  Any way to change this ? Does the "Theme" option fix this?

Focal Alpha 50's, Adam Sub7, Scarlett 6i6 2nd gen, Intel i5-2400 3.1GHZ quad core, 12GB Ram, Win 10, Sonar X3e Studio 64 bit.

I agree - the change to the FX bin graphics in Sonar Platinum was a mixed bag. There were aspects I liked, and others I thought were a step back.

If you try the Tungsten theme, you should find that this has been addressed. FX bins are very clear now, in my opinion.

On the down side, it no longer looks much like X3. The new Theme editor (just released this month) may allow you to alter the Mercury theme's FX bin graphics to your liking.
