Did anyone else get a Sonar Lifetime Updates postcard in the mail?
Personally I'm not a fan of junk mail, seems like a waste of paper. I presume they got my address from the billing address in my account, so they're sending this to people who are already Sonar customers. So why not just send an email like all other Cakewalk offers? Has it been determined that not enough people respond to email offers and so they're trying something new?

sharke . . . have you purchased the lifetime update ? . . . maybe you got the mail out because you didn't respond to the email ? Also, since you're in their neighbourhood (NYC) you got the mail . . . I don't expect that I'll get one here on the west coast of Canada.

I did purchase the lifetime updates yes... Not sure if NYC is considered "in the neighborhood" of Boston though.

I was an X3 Producer customer and got an offer to Upgrade to Plat in the mail sometime last year. So this isn't new. They didn't need to send me the lifetime offer now, since I was wise enough to jump on it already. BTW, how is it considered "junk" mail if they are giving you an offer to improve your life? (also, not everyone is set up to get the emails, or even reads them if they do).

I consider any unsolicited mail to be junk mail. And yes, I get the emails too. And I read them! Also, I did buy the lifetime upgrade a while ago so I guess the postcard was wasted on me.

Brian Walton BTW, how is it considered "junk" mail if they are giving you an offer to improve your life? unsolicited advertising mail is often considered "direct marketing" by the senders and "junk mail" by the recipients, "junk" because >95% goes straight in the bin (trash) eta: in NL we can put a legally binding sticker on our letterbox indicating "yes or no" for two levels of unsolicited mail (roughly equating to advertising blah and local newspapers) hth

Any communication mentioning Viagra or a Nigerian Prince is ostensibly offering to improve my life, yet I still regard these as junk mail. Call me a cynic.
