Help with Reinstall - Dim Pro Installed, But No DimPro Add Ons

Hi - I have Win 10 and the latest Platinum. I recently decided to reinstall platinum and everything related from scratch. This included following cakewalk clean install instructions (regedit... ) as well as hunting down and uninstalling any add ons that might be visible in control panel program features. I used the latest CCC to uninstall everything in it as well as reinstall platinum back in.

I just ran into a problem and was hoping someone might be able to lend their experience.

The problem is this:  When I reinstalled DimPro it installed fine, along with it's many default sound files.  But when I used CCC to reinstall some DimPro add ons I have - for example sound orchestra - they just don't show up - specifically Digital Sound Factory stuff like Vol 5 Studio Orchestra as one example.

Obviously they installed somewhere parts unknown.  But darn if I can find where that is.  I have a robust multi drive system so there are a lot of places to hide.

I love to get my add ons working.

Any thoughts?

'appreciate it.

Open the program browser in DPro and hit the F5 key to rebuild the program list.

    Do you have Rapture Pro?
If not, are they available in Rapture Session?

You are welcome. I am glad they are at least in a known location. I believe the installer now defaults to Rapture Session. Do you want to play them in DPro? I am pretty sure I can walk you through copying and moving the files to the correct places to have the expansion pack play from both synths.

    OK
I will assume both DPro and Rapture Session are installed in their default locations.

Generally there are two parts to an expansion pack, samples and programs. Fortunately DSF makes it easy to locate which folders belong to an expansion pack by naming the folders the same as the expansion pack.

The sample folders are in "C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Sample Data\Rapture Pro\Multisaples." Each expansion pack is in its own folder. The "Digital Sound Factory" folders for the expansion packs need to be moved to the DPro samples folder "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\Multisamples"

The programs are in "C:\Cakewalk Content\Rapture Pro\Programs." Each expansion pack is in its own folder. The "DSF" folders for each expansion pack need to be copied to the DPro programs folder "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\Programs." ProgramData is a hidden directory.

After copying the programs, open the DPro program browser and hit F5 to rebuild the program list.

If you have any questions about folder names, it will help me to know the names of the installers and folders in "C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Sample Data\Rapture Pro\Multisaples" and "C:\Cakewalk Content\Rapture Pro\Programs" on your PC.

My want to move one expansion pack (samples and programs) at a time, open DPro, rebuild the program list and test it. At least until you get familiar with the process.
