Free width control plugin from Boz

Nothing exciting and nothing that Channel Tools won't do. Still, it's handy to have a one-knob width control you can automate easily.

probably a good one because narrowing a stereo track is often required to fit in the mix, widening (which it does not do) is not needed so frequently ...

coming from BOZ this is most likely high quality ...

if there is a ProChannel version I would use it right away, but BOZ doesn't mention it, so I doubt it ...

I emailed Boz....  no reply ... so I'm just hoping that the Bakers see this as a nice simple update...

I'm sure he'll get back to you; he was super helpful when I had his Bark plug cause troubles.

Would be good though if Cake simply adds this as a ProChannel plug in one of the coming updates.

I'd much prefer that Cakewalk introduced a full featured stereo processing ProChannel module, kind of like Channel Tools but a little easier to use. For example I don't like the panning/width sliders in Channel Tools (and they would be impractical in a ProChannel module). Why not just have two pan pots for left and right? I gave up on Channel Tools and now use the free Flux Stereo Tool. You can control the width of the stereo field to your heart's content but you can also pan the signal where you want. Stereo pan pots plus Mid/Side gain, that would be an incredibly useful ProChannel module. I firmly believe that Cakewalk should include with Sonar a Swiss army knife of basic ProChannel modules, and stereo processing is currently lacking.

totally agree. I mostly use WAVES S1 and it has more options than BOZ simple new plug.

but I believe there is discussion on such a feature in the FR forum. so we shouldn't start another here, better bump and add there.
