Dialog Box Blues

Since as long as I can remember when I go to open and browse to my folders that contain each project, that dialog box showed the Name, type and then the created date and modified date.. not much else.
SInce Windows 10 update ( I assume) now I get a bunch of garbage unrelated to Sonar files like #, artist, album composer and the important stuff like date and type are unchecked so do not show.

This is a huge waste of time to have to re set each folder to show important information. I need that information.. I keep opening the MIDI icon instead of the CWP by mistake now.

Is anyone else experiencing this ?

Has there ever been a way to globaly set the info bar or what ever it's called?

Its a Windows template for music type files in the File Explorer. You can change it modify it or use a different template.
Its how Windows sets up defaults for various folder types.

Hi Johnny, I ran into this same thing when moving to Windows 10. For example, all WAV files now got associated with Windows Groove Music App, and as you point out the headers for that are not what you want to see in a file explorer type window, and as John points out, this can be changed in windows folder defaults.

    Here's what I did
First, right click on the file explorer header to turn on the options you always want to see, in my case I only wanted Date Modified, and Date created.
Then, in file explorer window go to the VIEW tab, then click on OPTIONS - Change folder and search options
In Folder Options pop-up window go to the VIEW tab, click "Apply to Folders" button
Windows then asks "Do you want all folders of this type to match this folder's view settings" . . . for this I clicked YES, because that's all I want to see in a file explorer type window.

Hope this saves you some time as it does for me.

Right click on any of the title names at the top of a column. Next choose MORE, then uncheck columns you don't want displayed.

Thanks all, and special thanks to noynekker ,,
I tried a few things like that and it didn't work but I guess I was missing that one step so I will try tonight when I get home and I do believe it will work...

OK was working all last night opening lots of different projects and even creating new ones from MIDI.
The way the header looks seems to be random and I'm trying to figure out why only some folders show the garbage and most look the way I always remember them being in the past.
I do believe it's as  John has said and it's Windows folder type taking over.

    I tried this :
Then, in file explorer window go to the VIEW tab, then click on OPTIONS - Change folder and search options

But there is no "Options" on the view list, just the size.
In XP I knew where to go change folder options but where the heck is it now,??, even tried on my office PC which is also W10.

OK I finally found the Folder option dialog box by using search.
And once I changed the settings now the view menu opens as a task bar with lots of stuff, just like noynekker described.
I think that's what happened, windows updated and re set all my folder options to default which I have always changed to "show hidden folders, un tick hide file extensions etc.
Yet another Windows update messing with my head and wasting my time issue..
See why some of us hate updating see , see  :)
That's it!!  I'm unplugging right now and will only plug in once a year like I used to do.
    Everything is working smooth now.
