Project won't load, causes white screen. [SOLVED]

Help!! I have a song that's almost finished, but won't load into any version of SONAR on my main machine in the studio. Loading gets as far as the "loading project" bar and then crashes SONAR (white screen). I have rolled back to previous versions of SONAR, but with the same results. I am running Windows 7 on this machine with 8GRam. Other songs load fine and work.

Now the strange thing is, I copied the project folder to a USB stick and loaded into my laptop running Windows 10, and everything works as it should. If I save an edited version of the project from the laptop and load it into my main, it still crashes on loading. So I guess the problem is in Windows 7 or SONAR somewhere, but what could it be? I'm pretty sure that W7 is up to date. What could be in the project that W7 or SONAR doesn't like, though it did work fine until the other day.

I did notice, while it was still working on my main studio machine, I tried to invoke Melodyne, which caused a crash (white screen). I have been reading on this forum that the latest Melodyne update has problems, so could this have some effect on the project refusing to open? My laptop doesn't have the latest Melodyne. Could my project have elements of the latest Melodyne embedded in it somewhere causing it to crash in my main machine?

I would try to load the song in "safe mode" but In not sure how to do that. I don't know what else to try or do.
Thanks
Wal

Ok thanks Jonesey. Tried that, but no joy. Still get white screen crash of Sonar.

I think I have a solution of sorts.
Previously when I invoked Melodyne it crashed SONAR. That was version 4, so I deleted it, and my troubles started.
I have now reinstalled Mel4 and am now able to load and play the project. Somehow some of Mel4 embedded itself into my project causing SONAR to crash when that particular project was loaded and Mel4 was not available for it.
However now I am not game to use Melodyne for fear of the same thing happening again.
