Plugin for Monitor Controlling?

Hi,
I just bought a Behritone, to be used as additional reference. I can't afford a monitor controller at this moment. Is there a plugin that let's you easily switch between 2 hardware outputs? for the master bus. Or is there another technique that someone would like to share?
Right now I have a Send to a new Stereo Bus that outputs to the Behritone. But this causes Sonar to add this output when I Export the song in the Export Audio dialog, and I can't de-select it before exporting. I have to delete the Send, and then export... which is cumborsome.

Lots and lots of ways to approach this.

Try this:

1. Create a bus called 2Bus. Route all of your tracks/buses whatever here. This is your master bus used for mixing (bus plugins, etc.).
2. Create a bus called MAINS and route this to the physical outs of your primary monitors.
3. Route the out of the 2Bus to MAINS.
4. Create a bus called BEHRITONE. This should send to the physical outs for your Behritone.
5. Create a Send on the 2Bus and route it to the BEHRITONE.
4. Mute the BEHRITONE bus.
5. Create a group for the Mute button on the BEHRITONE bus.
6. Add the Mute button for the MAINS to the group.

Now you have two buses that route to two different physical outs, and the mute buttons toggle each other so only one is ever active at once.

I hope this helps! :)

Thats basically what I'm doing minus the mute grouping. Don't know why I didn't think of that.

Thanks!

I correct myself. Yours is different. Thanks again, that solves it.

the rme interfaces include a software mixer called 'totalmix'';
in this, you can setup 2 different monitor paths (outputs), and turn them off and on at will

it's way cool....
just hit a button, select between 2 different hardware output paths...
and this can all be saved in the totalmix software as a preset for setting up the mixer this way

Can you put different plugins on each monitor out? That's the challenge I run into - SonarWorks for Adams and headphones, but nothing on Avantone... Buses let me do it in Sonar. In Ableton I use External Effects.
