Can't I Drag and Drop ProChannel Presets??
HI:) I've mixed 1 of 20 songs with the same Brass Orchestra (2 Trumpets, Horn, Trombone and Tuba (7 Mics)) and saved all Prochannel Settings as Presets. Now to have the same EQ and Compressor for all other Songs I must click on: Open --> Type in 1 or 2 letters --> Doubleclick on the Found Preset --> Click OK to open the Preset. Puuh....perhaps easier to make an empty File and Drag and Drop the Audiofiles into it. Is there no possibility with the Browser to Drag and Drop the Preset on the ProChannel? Thanks a lot:) Bassman.

If you rename your preset so that it starts with an underscore (_) then it will appear first in the list when you want to open it. Currently, only the EQ section can be dragged & dropped to another channel by holding down the control key whilst dragging

@ Bristol_Jenesey The _ is a good Idea! it goes a little bit faster. EQ Drag and Drop I know, but only inner a song, not from one song to another.... I've decided to save the mixed song to an empty file without the clips and then copy the clips of the other songs to it.... would be the fastest way to do it. Thank you;) Bassman.

If you ctrl click the picture of the EQ that isn't on the pro channel, you can drag that to other tracks in the same song. The way I copy all settings for songs is exactly as you describe. I make a copy of the project for the first song... delete all audio and save and close the project... delete all audio from the audio folder... paste into the project the clips for the next song. Tip, before pasting in the clips from the parent project, split the clips around the next song and choose bounce to clips. This will keep the clips as small as possible when you paste then into the new project. I organize saved pc settings in folders that match the project name.

Was a quasi Live Recording, so they played some songs 3,4, 5 times, so I first get the pieces together and then copy the final to the empty project, yes..... >>>I organize saved pc settings in folders that match the project name. Good Idea, but you have the Project, you can save the presets whenever you want:) thank you;) Bassman

@Bassman, Yes, you don't have to save the presets. I usually do that when moving settings to from later songs to earlier songs. I record 35 songs in a row. I cut them into separate projects as we have described and I mix. Sometimes, I find a nice setting around the 12th song and I want to move it back to the earlier songs. In this case, I'd save off the preset and import it into the earlier recorded songs.

@gswitz I really often do save them, that's why it took so long to find any:) Drag and Drop would be really nice! Bassman.

Oh sure... I didn't mean to say that drag and drop was unnecessary. Just explaining how I go about it in Sonar in case it was any help. Certainly, drag and drop would be useful.
