I would like to apologize to Cakewalk and Many, Many others at this forum.

I would like to apologize to Cakewalk and Many, Many others at this forum.
When I 1st came here for help, I had just gotten off the phone with Tech support and was given the run-around by someone who seemed to be out of it… (leave it at that)
I jumped into something and stayed there for a year or so…
It’s always been easy to leave a forum in the dust because of the jerks… Maybe 80% my mistake…
Being forced to come here to find out about my DAW allowed me to see the other side of things.
What can I say but please can we start out fresh? There is too much hate in this world most things fueled by misunderstanding…
I’m still going to speak my mind when it comes to what I like or don’t like about Splat but I won’t be as harsh…

Peace!

Hay look,
Somethings are not locked in stone... lol 3/18/2019

its all good hear Dave.
I was disgruntled at one point here. it was miserable. but some users here reached out to me and helped me with some problems I had. I soon realized my issue wasn't with the users who visit this place, these people are awesome.
as im sure you can relate yourself. its good to have people there when you need help.
I'll be here, so will others.

Chucky J

Fresh start it is then, Dave. When you are being sincere, curious and polite (yes I've been watching) you're not a bad dude. It was the alt accounts and weird spazz outs/insults that ticked me off personally which is why I gave you such a hard time.

If this is the new you all that is forgotten in my mind and I will extend the same help and courtesy to you as I do others (if you stay cool).

I may not be included in this apology though (I was pretty hard on you) and if that's the case no problem. Just letting you know if this is your new outlook then I think that's great.

Thanks for letting us know.

Cheers.

At least for me, the apology is unnecessary; you saved me so much time in theme development by reminding of something I knew back when learning PhotoShop, there is simply no way I could be angry with you.

It's also not like all of us haven't made the same mistake somewhere online about something (maybe not SPlat, but something....). But your apology is very kind.

It's always good for us all to remember:

Never criticize a man before walking a mile in his shoes.

(That way, when you do criticize him, you'll be a mile away and you'll have his shoes.)

“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.

Many years ago I got so frustrated with Cakewalk I almost threw my huge CRT monitor out a window, but I hung in there and things got better. Most of my frustration is user error anyway. hehe

um.. funny story.. well maybe... but the better I learn the TE the more I experiment and I keep kind of starting over.. I do get wrapped up in how things work. Also need to find the time... I even did a full grey scale theme in around 3 hours, but couldn't move my hand for 2 days after.
Did the removing the orange theme to blue and green basic replacement...
But I need to go beyond that... "just me". ha! I think I know what the editor can and can not do now...
I'm also building my own template layers in Photoshop so things will go faster...
I'll put some stuff up soon :)

* I can understand now why it takes the artist baker so log to put the themes together...
I'm so happy CW gave the power to build to us!
