You could just add a cheap USB to MIDI interface, one that was class-compliant (no drivers needed), like this one

for a massive 14 euros.
Then just use an old laptop or something running Win 7 if you want to reprogram the PCR in some way - I assume the settings are persistent as presets (I have a Roland A800 and that's certainly the case for that device).
On the A800 once you have it programmed, it doesn't matter whether you use MIDI or USB since all the buttons and sliders transmit MIDI messages, so it still has the same functionality either way. Assume the PCR would behave similarly.
