HA!!!! Loved it.  I prove your theory every day.  We have a 3 piece band that is rockin hard .  Your instruments are hittin' on all cylinders and the vocals and lyrics are hot!  I love it!!  Danny, you still have it, buddy!!!  You know, though, I couldn't hear any piano.  Is it just me?

Excellent toooooon....My only critique is
that the drums are kinda "lost" in the background...

Danny D is kilin' it!

Thanks Warren, much appreciated. The piano is just in the chorus parts lightly as I didn't feel we needed ton totally water down the tune. I think Phil wanted to hear more of it and I talked him out of it. He wrote the tune with a powerful rock riff, I was trying to help him keep that vibe. Keys in the wrong place being too dominant just ruin things for me sometimes. I may have been too conservative though. Thanks brother!

Cclarry: thanks! Much appreciated. Hmm, heard the drums pretty clear and consistent on all my systems here. I checked on 3 sets of monitors, buds, lappy, Phil's stuff, car...must be a personal preference thing as I try to watch for stuff like that. Glad ya liked the tune though, thanks!

They are very clear Danny...I meant...not forward.  They are kinda "just there"...
Maybe that was the intent...but on a Rock song, even an oldie type, they are usually
pretty prominent...

Yes...preference...

OK wait, if that's the case, my preference is the same as yours. Lol! How would you fix them? Is it just a loudness thing where I turn up the drum bus? Or are you hearing something that needs more in depth work?

I'm definitely in the camp of "make those drums heard at all times" and thought I did that. Any advice is appreciated Larry, thanks!

This was definitely creative. However, the guitars sounded more processed than butylated hydroxytoluene, maybe a more basic tone would have been more appropriate. Say perhaps, maybe a more retro tone. The solos should have coordinated or contrasted a bit better too, they seemed unrelated.

I don't wander into the Songs forum often enough - gave this one a good listen.  Got myself in trouble for turning it up.  (it was well worth it).

I thought this song was REALLY well laid out, and I really liked the guitar sound and note choices.  GREAT stuff.

Vocals cut through just fine, but not orphaned - just sat in the mix well.  Drums sounded clear and present, without overpowering or overplaying.  I didn't hear the bass jumping out at me - but I guess that's because it was doing what it was supposed to. Guitar sounded thick and punchy, but clear - and the solo lines were excellent.  I am a big fan of mixing up runs, with groups of triplets and/or syncopation, and there were some neat combinations of technique throughout.

A job WELL DONE!
