Anyone else have forum issues while running Windows 10?
Since upgrading to Windows 10, hitting the "Go to first unread post since last visit" icons (those little yellow ones) no longer work for me. Every time I use one it takes me back to just before I upgraded. Obviously this means it gets more annoying as time goes by since it sends me back a couple of pages in the hotter threads... Anyone else seeing this behavior? (Or behaviours for our UK friends! ) Or, better yet, have a solution?

This has been happening to me for AGES on my Win7 lappy. IIRC it didn't start IMMEDIATELY after the last major forum overhaul but shortly after. Since then if I comment on something or even just click on a thread next time I click on the "First Unread" thingie it'll toss me to some semi random post (sometimes it'll be a post I make and get stuck there every time I click, sometimes it's someone else's post, sometimes it CHANGES the post then sticks to that... it's crazy). I've mentioned it before and others said they were expereincing it too (this was like a year ago). Now if I want to read new posts I click the last page button (or if only a one page thread just the title), Page Down and then scroll backwards to where I left off (kind of helpful because I scan the later posts on the way backward too). It's pretty annoying though. I use Firefox (most current version) and have some ad/script blockers going so maybe that's it. I know most people use Chrome these days but I still lurvs FF. /blathering

I believe it's a cookies thing and it's never worked 100% reliably for me.

Like Beepster I just hit the "last update" link and then scroll back to the last post I read. Tbh I wasn't even aware of those "last read" links. I'm an unobservant SOB sometimes The situation is annoying on the mobile version of the site though. It's anyone's guess as to whether clicking on a post will take you to the last read comment or right back to the start. I've never worked out a pattern, it seems totally random. Oh and another thing about the mobile site. Why can't I insert an effing image? It's bad enough that the "insert image URL" function is missing from the mobile version, but even when I click "desktop version," the complete desktop interface appears but MISSING the insert image button. These things are sent to try us

Craig ... that is too weird! A button would be a web page design thing and would not have anything to do with Windows at all, but the interaction between your browser and the webpage itself. Have you tried Chrome, IE and something else? That might suggest a thing or two? Chrome can be moody if you are not signed in and all that ... which I am not, but I don't use many of those buttons on purpose ... mostly because many of them are too small and I can not see them properly.

I've always used Chrome and it always worked, but it's more than a button thing; the last replies you read have to be stored somewhere (in a cookie) so that could be what wasn't happening. I just had some bizarre behavior this morning and a reboot, maybe that will fix this issue too - time will tell!

What's really annoying is when it does go to the first unread post but won't let you go anywhere else unless you click the Go To Top arrow and start over.

I have issues with the forum software whereby it will simply "hang", maybe up to a minute or so when trying to refresh, post, click the back arrow, select different forums, everything. This is on Win 7, Win 10, Chrome, Edge, Firefox.

I just go to the last page by clicking on the number and work my way back to when I was last there. Once you resign yourself to the fact that the SFS just doesn't work it becomes less annoying.

AND Djam Karet also has a new album. It is material that would have been in other albums, and it features some of their old stuff, and it has some really far out bits, for my tastes. My favorite of all their pieces, still is "Dark Clouds, No Rain". Such an excellent piece for visualization, and there is one in this new album that is a reminder of that piece for me.

Looks like that will cost me another $10 soon! Probably only fair, when I bought the Trip it was shown as having one track so instead of buying the album, I just bought the one track (on Amazon I believe) for $1... I love that album!
