Anyone still using an A-Pro controller?

I've got mine working after the anniversary update of Windows, at least most of it. The main page control functions are still working but the other 3 banks for effects, utility and synth don't seem to be speaking to Sonar. I don't know if it's Windows or Sonar that's the problem.

Anyone able to access these functions with the 16/07 release and Win10 anniversary edition?

Regards, John

Just in case you cannot find a solution and this becomes limiting for you, consider a System Restore. I have not loaded Win10 on any home machine, but that particular update (1607) caused some of the oddest behavior on a coworker's machine. System Restore recovered it, and then I promptly disabled updates on mine.

I do not have an a-pro, have a novation remote SL mk2, but have been trying to get midi learn and act learn to function with varying results, maybe its the same issue? I am at the point of binning my remote.

I wish Roland didn't design with such short life cycles in mind. It does seem to be the way of the plastic generation though. 2 years is an antique and time for replacement. I'm happy that I've still got most functions after 4-5 years.

    Hardware.

I have deferred the 1607 update due to post like this ... are you back to full functionality or still struggling? Did you reinstall the A-PRO driver after 1607?

I have a working control surface and standard midi. I can't seem to get the A-Pro to control synths or the Pro Channel. I can live with it.

There was another thread commenting about unsigned drivers and the 1607 update requiring them to be signed (MS began enforcing this with 1607). I am not sure if that is the specific issue, but worth noting. Roland has a poor record of updating drivers as it is for legacy hardware.
