Help with saving/moving bundle files between collaborating computers (SOLVED)
Hi... I'm working on Sonar Professional. I've recorded a song into the program on a laptop of limited horsepower. I want to move the entire project into a more powerful desktop I have for mixing, adding effects, etc. Both machines are running the same version of Sonar and Windows 10. (Although the desktop lists seven fewer plugins than the laptop, and I don't know why... but that's another issue.) I thought the best way to move a complete project between computers/collaborators was to save the project as a bundle file because that saves everything. But when I go to do that on my laptop with my project, I get this message: "Projects containing AudioSnap markers or time stretched data cannot be saved in the bundle file format." It suggests alternatives I can use to archive, but I don't want to archive. I want to move the entire project to another computer. Is there a way to do this? I've done some quantizing/audio snapping on a handful of drum tracks to get them locked into the BMP on the laptop. Any suggestions as to how can I move my entire project to my beefier desktop to work on mixing/mastering? Thanks! Billy

If you are using per-project audio folders (the default), the project should be in its own folder, complete with the project and audio files. Copy this folder over to the other machine. If you prefer to copy a single file, zip up the folder before copying it.

Hi. If you use per project folder (you should if you do not already use it ), you could just copy the whole project folder with an USB stick. That is how I do it. All the best.

Provided it's not a HUGE project, I'd skip the zipping up and just do a "Save As" to a USB stick, just make sure you've got "Copy all audio with project"checked
