Yeah I played one once. My first bass was a knock off of that style (St. George IIRC). I sanded it down to have a natural look (I clear coat sealed it).
Then I got my first P-Bass and the rest is history (true or not).

They're remaking that movie, BTW. Hopefully, they do a bit better with the "spider" this time around. We don't need no stinkin' codpiece.
