This is a well put together track. Very full mix. Nice guitar work throughout. There were a few spots where the vocal sounded a very little bit flat though. Other than that, I like it.

Cool track, really liked this a lot.  Personally thought the drums were possibly too prominent, but that could be taste.  Nice guitar work.

i wish that funk tune stand was my mix....its definitely NOT!
that was mixed by another fella on that site...and he is really good me thinks.
I just came up with the suggestion of a lyric idea, sang it, did a few harms, and he went nutz with it LOL.

Welcome to the joint, old dog, I reckon you'll like it here . . .

Train Train has a ton of energy and drive, nice tune! I wonder though if the acoustic guitar strumming and drums couldn't stand a little lowering of volume when the singer is singing. Does your Music Creator 5 allow you to draw or plot volume curves on individual tracks as the song goes along?

The mix felt as dense in the intro to me as it did in the middle, I'd try to slip some more dynamics in there. This tune has energy to spare!

I'd also agree with the vocalist slipping flat a little here or there, not sure to what extent that could be remedied. Melodyne?

Anyway, on the good side the mix had a bright quality to it, not muddy, and that is definitely an achievement. Plus its drive and energy. Well done!

    love the review....why?
because its honest and also gives a good side to ease the caster oil down LOL

i don't have melodyne ....only a handful of freebies, mhorse, 5orsery, ect,
    no tuners.
i agree 100%...needs more dynamics and yes i can automate/plot.
    excellent idea!
    Thank you, Tom.

Very cool tune - the little sections work really well together. I know it's about trains, but hearing it makes me feel like I'm sitting in a small, local bar. Guitar is really clean and well played, vocals are good - a little rough in spots but it works in this kind of tune. Great job.

Sounds like a good song though it does get quite dense in places I wonder if a breakdown somewhere might help.  Thanks for sharing and welcome to the machine.

(dense) 100% nailed it man, that's the word that describes it best, and busy.

This song reminds me of the Allman Bros band when the lead guitar is playing.

Yeah, I heard that "density" spoken of above. Heavy on the mids.   I think just pulling the mids down a bit would lighten it up a bit and that would be a good thing. A move in the right direction.

Yes... you answer a question posed.... MC5 does have volume envelopes in it.   So yeah, use them to get the dynamics happening. Drop a few things down or better yet out, in the verses and bring them back appropriately in the chorus.   Envelopes are also really useful for the vocals. It's a matter of taste and all that sort of stuff, as far as are the drums too loud or are the vocals too soft..... but envelopes let you tweek that stuff easily. Who knows, you might already be using them.

    Good song.

Really good tune.  I liked everything about it.  I usually key right in on flat or sharp vocals but was enjoying the overall sound and didn't hear them.  I guess that is good and bad.  Well, it was nicely done and welcome to the site.  I would find the time to listen to some of the music up here and take the time to reply.  It's what makes the board go round.

Just to +1 the above - great song!  Really well done.    I think if you can clean up with the mix a little and provide a little more "space" it could really breathe nicely.  Those Allman Bros-ish guitar lines fit great and the vocal harmonies are really cool...

Welcome and nice tune....enjoyed it.   The mix on my phones seemed well balanced..(.though I don't have the level of ear/critique ability as many of the talent guru's here...I too am here to learn ;o))...   Her vocals(Alice correct?) are very "Natalie Imbruglia" sounding...very pleasant.... I see some of her other jamz on that site...pleasant all around...thx for the share.

Very nice performances and excellent mix, for a fantastic and fun song.  This sounds like it'd be an excellent set encore.  Get the audience clapping their hands over their heads and chanting TRAIN TRAIN.

I thought I heard a little allman brothers guitar behind the mix in there at one point. :)
