Hello all

I have been getting "serious error" messages with XLN in VST scan. Is this Addictive drum issue or Splat issue. Just started with latest update

I didn't have a "serious error" but had an error regarding the path after installing Platinum. Maybe you can try what they told me to do and it will help. XLN told me to do the following:

    a) Search your computer for "Addictive Drums 2.dll" and delete all files with that name
    b) Run the XLN Online Installer and let it repair your installation. This will ensure that only the correct plug-in files are left on your computer.
    c) Go to the Advanced page in the Online Installer. That page will tell you where the 32-bit and 64-bit Addictive Drums plug-in DLLs are installed. If you're running the 64-bit version of your host (Sonar in this case), then you want to use the 64-bit plug-in file and vice versa.
    d) The next step is to check the preferences in your host. The option is usually named "Paths", "VST paths" or "Plug-in paths". In those preferences, add the path to the correct plug-in and then hit the Rescan button. This should get rid of the "Wrong binary location" message.

    Thanks ping,
I had that problem once too. Never heard about the uninstall part. I'll give it a try. Don't know why the update did this though. Never happened before. I guess I do have a lifetime to get it right. Lol

What is the full "Serious Error" message?  That sounds like a partial message you posted.  We need the full message please.

    Jesse,
The whole message is quite long. I don't know how to do a screen shot. It shows up with each scan of AD2 AD keys. About six times total. I will have to look again for total readout. I do remember something about LUI. Not in front of studio. Will have to check later after work.

I've had an issue with AD2 regarding to the "Path" a couple Sonar Updates ago, but during XLN Update, the program indicated that I'm trying to access a "file" not recognized by Sonar? But AD did show the Location where the program was and I just had to move it into Cakewalk VST Folder, really easy! Once opening Sonar just "Scan" VST and it was done. So far "rock solid" performance from both Sonar & Addictive Drums.

    Hello again,
No nothing worked. Removed all XLN. Reloaded, still same serious error message. Even rolled back. No fix. Probably will have to contact XLN about this. Unless help here.
