Sonar Colors

Well, now that I've been seduced by the color options of the theme editor, I'd like to change a couple of things on some themes.

Does anybody know where in the theme editor the color for the the TAB text (text on docking tabs) are?
Also, in track view there's a little window called "+ add track", might somebody know how to change the color of the text in that box?

The theme editor would be a lot easier to use if CW would publish an image of Sonar with the names of every component...

Thanks,
Jerry

I'm not entirely sure to what you are referring (a screenshot, perhaps, would be nice, edited with arrows pointing to the texts in question. You know, kind of like what you're suggesting "CW would publish," but limited to the identification of the elements in question), but if they're what I think they are, they come from Win10, not Sonar.

Theme Editor is about a month old. A "legend" picture would be a fine addition and we'll probably get there eventually.

“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.

Thank you for replying, I am referring to this component (see image):
Very small, hope you can read it.

Okay, I think I've got it (or at least a place to start looking).

Open Theme Editor (with the desired theme loaded), Click "Track View". Right on top there are squares of color. If you scroll through those, you'll notice the colors controlling the various texts. Double clicking on these will bring up a box in which you may edit the colors. You might have to experiment see which color goes with which element, but usually you can narrow to 2 or 3 colors immediately and concentrate on those. It's not too bad. My guess is that the text in the Add Track fly-out box is controlled the color square text options at the top of the track view. But there's a pretty strong possibility that editing these is not an option yet, unfortunately. Not everything is available for edits yet in Theme Editor. I offer this caveat because I don't notice an obvious connection between the text colors offered and the descriptions aren't spot-on.  I'm sorry I cannot be any more definitive, but I think that's where it would make sense to start looking. Just don't get too frustrated. If you get to the point where you're sure you don't see it, shoot Noel a line as he was going to ask about the elements that could not be edited.

BTW, your work on the smart tool button is very cool.

To all those who want to know what colors are actually changeable... simply (or not so simply) select everything in TE and set them to one bright color, like PINK. Then open Sonar and see if the item you want to change is pink. If it's not then it's not changeable. Write up a request and wait for it....

If it IS pink, but you don't know what it's called, you can narrow it down by changing each view to a different bright color, one pink, one blue, one green, etc. Once you find the category it's in, change the colors within it until you find the right one. Time consuming but effective.

That's what I've been doing as well. It IS really time-consuming. I shave off a bit of time by using the color with which I want to end up. It saves one step anyway.
