Command Center question

After downloading the loop content that came with Plat,  I was given an error that told me I must enter a full path with drive letter.

So, I went into the Command Center settings and indicated where the content(path) was to be download.  Then when trying to save the setting, a dialogue box warned me  that changing my content path "might cause bad things to happen", and asked if I would like to copy these contents and change the file path now.  ????

Bad things?   If I don't change the path, I won't be able to download the loops and other content...Anybody ever had this happen?
Thanks,
Freq

It's nothing to worry about. I use an external drive for CC downloads. If the external drive is missing it just downloads to the default location: C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads (Note: The ProgramData folder is hidden by default.)

You should also know if the path you enter is not found, it will change the path back to the default.

    Hello, me again...

Just tried to download the lastest loops for SPLAT from command center... I went to change the location of the content path, but I'm unable to save it.   CC just keeps "saving" but never completes the process. So I attempted to switch back to the default C drive location, and I'm having the same problem of the never ending "save" in progress.  Changing the content path should be immediate, right?

I don't mind seeing the red indicators that indicate I haven't updated the loop content, and I can also live without the updated loops, but I would really like to figure out the problem.

    Hello,

I'll bump this one time, and then not worry about it if there are no responses...maybe I should post in a different category?

May I ask why you are posting using 2 different accounts ?

It makes for a really confusing exchange. I cant tell if account 1 is answering your account 2 or vice versa.

    Hi Chuck,
I post on two different computers--- one is an auto-log in(which I like), and the other has the usual log in procedure... anyway, I just noticed it a couple of weeks ago when I was searching for a thread that I posted in but couldn't find it...it is then I realized I had two accounts... I'm guessing one was migrated from a few years ago when I was just viewing posts, then I forgot the account info and registered a new one when I purchased SPLAT this summer...don't know for sure... Should I just delete one?
Any thoughts on the Command Center issue?

    thanks,

I love this product and I really am happy I enrolled in the lifetime update package.

However, over the last couple of months my Command Center is NOT working.  Keeps telling me that I have no valid internet connection which is ridiculous.

It is happening at the same time I am on the Sonar Support site or even when
I am downloading emails or whatever.

I have indeed downloaded and re-installed Command Center and even went into my firewall to make sure it is listed.
    All to no avail.
When I try and download an update manually, I can't locate it as it is NOT in my list of registered product.

Can you PLEASE help me.  This is frustrating.  I was on the forum and noticed that others have had a similar issue.
I tried the only solution of re-installing CC, but it was no help.
I am using a PC with Win 7.  It worked fine for months and suddenly stopped.

    PLEASE.  Very frustrating.

You should always start you own thread as it's very confusing who we are taking too.
And these questions have a sub forum http://forum.cakewalk.com/Problem-Reports-f77.aspx

I would look in to your internet connection. It just may be the culprit here.

I haven't personally has dropped connections using Command Center but maybe 2 times since Command Centers inception. Even then it will download but say it is corrupt or something to that nature.

Next time your ready to update, try resetting your modem, then give it a try.
You can also verify your connection in Task manager through out the download.
I know its tedious but it may shed some light on weather or not its connection related.
I had a bad modem cord a few years ago and had similar issues (not with CCC though).
It drove me crazy until I figured out it was a rolling chair was rolling over the cord that broke the connection.
