Human voice patches on Cakewalk synths
Hey all, Can anyone name any preset patches for human voice (oooh's/aaah's, choir's, etc) on the synths that come with Platinum? I've got Rapture, Dimension, Z3ta+2, and all the other synths that come with Platinum. 3rd party synths would be helpful too if anyone has any ideas. Thanks so much. ~Jeff

I use Windows to search DPro and Rapture for programs. DPro programs are in C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\Programs Rapture programs are in C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Rapture\Programs I am sure you will find something using keywords like male, female, ooh, aah, voice, tron, choir and the like.

If you have Dimension Pro emu 2000, there are some voices called pop ahs and oos that are pretty good

Check out the choirs in the TTS-1. They outperform some "big bux" ones.

I agree!!! I have been a longtime fan of Roland's sounds. I have several of their hardware synths from the JV/XP era, as well as a handful of their sound set expansion ROM's. The TTS-1 is awesome as a virtual GM synth, or just getting your "band" set up with a muti-timbral sound setup. But I gotta admit, this Air "rompler" is too good of a deal to pass up for just one buck. It normally retails for $99.00, and until a couple of years ago was only available to the Pro Tools universe. It is only 4-part multi capable, but still ... $1.00??? LOL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJ9tJRSCk60

So often I see GM instruments referred to only in relation to "sketching." Do folks here use GM instruments in their productions?

But that $1 Air requires iLok so it's out for me.

Just the license manager. No hardware required. But I do respect the reluctance to submit to invasive copy protection schemes. But this seems pretty harmless. I have a fort knox of security software and it did not even blink when I installed the iLok license manager.
