Plugin Alliance plugs make Sonar crash when put on AUX tracks or master track

Hello to everyone,

I've got a major issue with Sonar Platinum. Everything works perfect, except for one thing. When I create an AUX track in a project to which several instruments are routed (for instance, an AUX to which rhythm or clean guitars are directed), and thereafter add a plugin by Plugin Alliance (namely Brainworx Shredspread or SPL Vitalizer, maybe some other, but I am not sure), I get some terrible noise from the monitors, and the meter levels inside the plugs just skyrocket. The same thing exists when the aforesaid plugins are put onto the master track. This is not remedied anyhow by turning plugin output to zero, and the only option is to turn it off. However, after saving the project as is, it won't open anymore. I may open it only by turning my soundcard off (Avid Mbox Pro 3, if that may matter), however when I turn on the card and assign an output to the master track, the project crashes right away.

This issue doesn't exist with any other plugins I use whatsoever. Furthermore, the issue doesn't exist when I add my Brainworx Shredspread or SPL Vitalizer to a mono or stereo audio track - only when they are added to an AUX track or master track. Finally, neither of the plugins causes any issues in this combination when used in Pro Tools 10.

I have been able to find the only remedy so far: when I first put a BlueCat Audio Patchwork's instance on an AUX track or the master track, and then add Plugin Alliance plugs inside BlueCat, everything works great. but this is not very convenient, and moreover, I am not sure that there wouldn't be any other plugins behaving in the same way.

So, I hope somebody may help me with overcoming that issue.

Are you sure you have no feedback loops?

Can you use them on a BUS instead?

Sorry, I don't really get it (I am new to Sonar, and far from a pro, so don't be shocked). I've got input monitoring disabled during playback by default, and as far as I get it, I don't have any feedback loops.

To no avail. Just the same results as with AUX. It either bursts my monitors or destroys the sound totally.

I use Plugin Alliance plugins and I have not had any trouble using them. But I have not used an aux track with them either. I do know in the past the Mbox was not designed for just any DAW but for PT only. Or at lease there were users that had trouble getting it to work with Sonar. I have no idea if this is still true.

One thing is why are you using an aux track? Do you need to record the audio?

It does seem odd that only those plugins cause you trouble.
