[Solved] custom midi notes

Hi, I use Sonar X1 LE for recording and here is my problem. I want to add midi(not sure if it's the correct word) bass to my recordings instead of playing real bass. So I insert soft synth, choose Cakewalk Sound Center, and select one of the bass tones. Then I press "alt+3" and write notes in Piano Roll at the bottom menu. There is no problem so far. But I can't select custom notes, for example I want to have sustain in one note and make it go for 2 bars. I can't; it goes only 1 bar as I can only select a whole note, no other option it seems. Is there a way to do this?

Hover your mouse over the end of the note.  The cursor should change ... then click-drag the note to the length you want.

Thanks, actually I guessed and tried that myself before in "draw" mode with no success and was gonna reply to you but I tried it in "smart" mode right now and it works, I must be stupid not to figure it out.  :)

in later versions its easier because there is a function called "last touched".
this way you can click on another note and it will retain the value for that note (its length).

as Bob said, just drag the end out.
you can also select multiple notes and only drag one / and they all drag at the same time.
