Sonar download corrupt
Hello! Recently I have purchased Sonar Artist. I have tried to install it via Command Center but the download fails. I have tried several times to no avail. Eventually I gave up and tried to download the individual files manually from my account. Unfortunately when trying to install them one by one I get errors that some files are corrupt. Re-downloading the files takes about dozen attempts on each one until I get the correct contents. I have tried the different mirrors without any luck. After spending too many hours on that I finally gave up and contacted the support. Unfortunately there is no answer from the support for several days. So I am asking for help on these forums instead. Since I am clean installing Windows 10 now, I have other large software downloads (several gigabytes), which complete without any problems, so it is not an Internet connectivity problem, I believe. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Kind regards.

Thanks for the tip, Bruce. I am currently using Edge for the downloads (fresh windows 10 install). I'll try Chrome when I get home. The curious thing is that Control Center fails to download as well.

I find Microsoft Edge to be a bit flaky at the best of times. I also use Chrome for all my downloads. YMMV

Using Free Download Manager for big downloads because of the resume feature.

We've been working on the support issue and some additional staff has started. So response times should begin to improve. Unfortunately we had a sort of denial of service attack as people who didn't get a response then created new cases rather than updating the ones already submitted. As you can imagine that cascaded into more delays, which resulted in an increased backlog, more people making new cases, etc. Are you downloading over wifi? A tool like inSSIDer can be a great way to diagnose if you have channel collisions. http://www.metageek.com/products/inssider/personal/ We're using AWS for the downloads which generally is very robust. Health page is here if curious: http://status.aws.amazon.com So the problem is very very remote that it would be something on our side or our hosting. If you're using a wired connection, you might try using a different cable. Definitely should test for packet loss. One way is detailed here: http://searchnetworking.t...a-broadband-connectionA nice visual way to do that is running something like VisualRoute. They have a live browser based test but unfortunately it does require using adobe flash which I and many others have disabled due to past 0-day flaws. http://visualroute.visualware.comSo a free alternative which isn't as pretty but works, is WinMTR http://winmtr.net Keith

I have issues downloading the installers from my account page on my windows 10 machine, and my win 7 studio computer is on an offline network. In the end I downloaded them to my Android tablet without any problems and just copied them to my studio computer - in fact that is still what I do! Edge is certainly flakey. I have had more luck with chrome, but it is easier for me to use the tablet.

Years ago I had problems with corrupt downloads (using Firefox), so I followed someone's suggestion and started using the Firefox extension DownThemAll, a free download manager. Haven't had a corrupt download since.

I have had download issues in the past, caused by the antivirus I was running at the time interfering with the download process. I got things to work by suspending the antivirus, then doing the downloads, then I scanned each downloaded file after resuming the antivirus. After making sure all downloaded files were intact, I again suspended the antivirus and had no problems with installation. Just a thought, in addition to the others posted above by the other folks.
