Restart Transport From End of Project
When my project gets to the end it stops as is the default setting. When I press play again the project won't start from the beginning unless I rewind. Is there a setting to get the project to automatically restart from the beginning when you press play with the now time at the end of the project? I would swear I've been doing this for years.

There are 2 settings which might help, found in Track view under Options: I don't think Sonar has ever had the capability or returning to the start and to resume playback from the beginning

Thanks for the help. I looked through those settings. I think there used to be an additional setting so when the project was stopped at the Project End you could press the space bar and it would start playing from the beginning again. Seems that an update has removed this "feature".

Can't say I ever remember that particular feature. Of course, if you set your now time right at the beginning of your project, and play it with "On stop, Rewind to Now Marker" checked then it will do what you want. this won't work if the now Time is anywhere else. I'm sure you know this but hitting 'w' on your keyboard will take you to measure 01:01:000

The transport issue I am referring to is with the latest version of SONAR Platinum. It turns out I have SONAR Producer X2 loaded on my travel laptop which I haven't used for quite a while. I loaded up a project and ran it till the end. When I hit the spacebar it started playing right from 01:01:000. I looked through all the X2 options and preferences and the only thing that was set was "Stop Project at End". I know I have been doing this for at least 10 years so it really is weird that it doesn't work that way anymore.

" I loaded up a project and ran it till the end." So what happened when you reached the end of the song - did the transport stop there or rewind?

The transport stops at the end of the project (as it's set to). Then when the spacebar is pressed again the project automatically rewinds all the way and starts playing from 00:00:000. It seems it's just a smart feature - if you press play and you are at the end of the project there is nothing left to play so the transport just starts over from the beginning. I got very used to it because for example, I might be auditioning different instruments or trying different parts. I would just let the project play to the end, get the settings right for another run through and then hit the spacebar. Now I have to hit "W" every time. It's not a big deal - it's just different.
