Export Midi from the latest Sonar Platinum to ProTools 11

Good morning,
I have a working relationship where I record tracks in Cakewalk and then I upload all tracks to DropBox and my collaborator downloads the tracks and import them into ProTools 11. He is excellent at mixing which is why we do it this way. I have been doing the following:
1. Add a note at the 0 mark and then "bouncing to Clip" so that the midi starts at 0 and is one file.
2. Delete the note added at the beginning and drag the track onto the desktop. It automatically named the file the same as the track name.
3. He wouold download the midi files I created and import them into his session.

Recently, Cakewalk had an update which broke this process. The midi files no longer take the name of the track (They just say clip1) and they do not keep the silent measures at the beginning of the track so they don't line up properly.

I tried saving the session as Midi1 which seemed like a sweet alternative. Unfortunately, every session we have started with these midi files, becomes corrupted after a period of time. We are not 100% that this is the cause but it is the only common variable that we can find.

Is there a better way to export Midi than either of these 2 methods?

Wow! Not a soul has replied!Really? No one exports Midi or has had this issue? No one from Cakewalk has any suggestions? That's really depressing.

Try leaving the first note in the clip and tell your collaborator to remove it when he imports it.
Then drag the clip to your desktop and change the name to identify it clearly.
