OceanBreezn....Mix test 1 (your feedback plz)

Howdy all...
Latest mix on a test track for concept.  Appreciate any feedback on the overall volume, panning and EQ on your audio references.  I only have my phones and car(I know....my bad) at the moment for ref.
I am not looking for drum specifics (spliced some midi together for the beat...will be real drums on final take).
Thanks for your consideration and time... ;o)

As you asked, on the Adam's it sounds thin but the bass is a bit OTT in an out of balanced way.  It has potential just needs to mixed appropriately.

Please check this one(# 10) against the prev(#9) if can....appreciate feedback on the differences.  As stated before....i am using Tascam cans for ref at moment.  #9 sounds more spacious ...the new one I changed a few things and is not nearly as spacious but wonder what ya think comparatively.  This mix is not as hot..hope an improvement on the overall? ..pretty basic tracks... but all feedback is gonna help me with a few things I am figuring out/learning to see.  I gotta get a decent monitoring ref setup of course......thx   ;o)

IMO your rhythm guitar is fighting the bass. I listened on Sennheiser HD 600 to #10.

It sounds better, thought the HH's are too prominent and it unbelievably quite.  I normally have to turn things down when playing back from Sound clod but I had to turn everything up and then it was barely breaking -26dB.  ( I realise it is not "mastered" but....)

Thanks guys.....please give this one a go.....I think I'm onto something ;o) ...its deff louder...but I think I actually "mixed" it this time.  I believe (remember...i am ref on phones only at moment please) i know the bass is still boomy here n there..  This whole track will be recorded with live drums and the bass/guitar will be redone with a live amp....this is just for my recording level and tweaking ability as I gather the rest of it and get it down as a whole song.  Then the real fun begins when i intro vocal...if it gets that of course...lol.   I really appreciate the feedback...its helping  ;o)
