Please give us back control of per project audio

Hi,
My previously neat and easy to back up system of audio files on my fast drive and project files on my slower drive has recently become a real mess of projects and audio files that is now twice as hard to back up, and I have no control over it anymore. I appreciate that most people use the newer approach of per project audio, but for those of us that like the old way, please give us back an option to return to that way of working! Thanks.

I don't think it was removed. Have a look at the documentation.

It never went away. Per project is in addition to, not instead of...however it did become the default. See this post for more information on how different ways to create new projects affect how audio is stored.

Thanks for the response. I am trying to make the old way of working the default, and I cannot see from the docs or from the different saving methods how to do that without having to specify a path each save.

Well - I suggest you go back and read the post I wrote, that Craig included the link to in his post above.

In that post, both options 1 and 5 do not utilize Per-Project Audio, and neither of those options presents a path for the project name or for creation of any Audio folder for Per-Project Audio.

In addition, CTRL+N always worked the same, in prior Sonar versions, and the option I called Option 1 in my post is the very first option displayed on the Start Screen choices - it is 'New Project'.

So, I am not sure what options from my post that you tried, but I just now double-checked what I had posted, and validated Sonar functions as I had indicated in my other post, for each of the 5 options I had listed.

I recommend you go back and again try 'New Project' from the Start Screen, OR CTRL+N.
